Outfitters Pack Station is owned by Wade & Simone Mauhl. Since 2012 the business is located in Weiser, Idaho.
Wade Mauhl
Wade is an avid hunter and has been packing mules & horses since he was a boy. Mainly into the Gospel Hump Wilderness, Frank Church Wilderness, Bob Marshall Wilderness as well as Eastern Washington & S.W. Nevada. Wade grew up using Decker Pack Saddles before switching over to the Formfitter Pack Saddle. Wade builds all the pack gear you see on this website. If you have questions, need advice or want to learn about packing, he would be happy to talk to you. His motto is "You never stop learning and you never know everything about packing."
Simone Mauhl
Simone is German and moved to the States in 2003. Her background is English horseback riding and she does endurance riding. But she enjoys pack trips into the backcountry just as much. Her passions are equine nutrition and making custom chaps, of which some are featured on the website. If you live outside the U.S., Simone will assist you with international orders & shipments.
